While all of our extensions are made from high quality human hair, we recommend avoiding chemical alterations. Any custom coloring should only be handled by licensed professionals, and any lightening/bleaching of extensions should be avoided altogether. Generally, color depositing is safe but results may vary. The Hair Shop, Inc. is not responsible for improper use or undesired results from chemical alterations.
2. How long will the quality of my hair extensions last?
We offer professional grade, premium quality hair. That means 100% Remy human hair for our standard line and 100% full cuticle-intact human hair for our exclusive lines. The life expectancy of each hair extension set will really differ depending on the user’s daily care and maintenance. With proper daily maintenance and for the best daily wear we recommend replacing hair extensions after three to six months of usage. However, some clients are able to wear the same extensions for six months up to a year.
3. How do I take care of my extensions?
Please see Extension Chart below for method-specific care.
4. Does The Hair Shop carry Remy, Human Hair?
Yes, our standard selection of extensions are made with 100% Remy human hair and our exclusive lines are made from 100% full cuticle-intact human hair.
5. What is the difference between The Hair Shop brands? (i.e. 808, 707, Exclusive lines)
808 consists of hair extensions with medium/average thickness strands. This works well for majority of hair types - blending seamlessly, creating the volume desired and making it the most versatile. 808 Exclusive is 100% cuticle intact, premium quality hair. Cuticle intact means that each hair strand is carefully hand-selected to ensure all cuticles are facing the same direction (no stripping of cuticles required). This allows the hair strands to retain full moisture resulting in longer-lasting silky hair. The medium/average thickness strands work for majority of hair types. 707 Exclusive is made from high quality Indian temple hair which has an organic wavy texture. Like 808 Exclusive, all cuticles are fully intact for full moisture retention, less breakage and longer-lasting hair. This line best serves those with naturally wavy hair.
